Roadwork Around Estates of Credit Ridge to 2031

Williams Parkway watermain to 2029, Mississauga Road widening to 2031 and Highway 413 work on Bovaird Drive: public roadwork around the neighbourhood.

Three big public works projects touch the edges of Estates of Credit Ridge between now and 2031: a Region of Peel watermain under Williams Parkway, the widening of Mississauga Road, and Highway 413 early works on Bovaird Drive. This guide puts the published timelines in one place and explains what each means for daily trips. It covers public infrastructure only, not private development applications.

What roadwork is planned around Estates of Credit Ridge?

The Region of Peel plans a large watermain under Williams Parkway from McLaughlin Road to Mississauga Road from fall 2026 to spring 2029. Peel will also widen Mississauga Road along the neighbourhood’s west edge from 4 to 6 lanes, with construction from early 2029 to the end of 2031. Highway 413 early works rebuild part of Bovaird Drive.

Peel project 14-1256 A Williams Parkway, Dixie Road to McLaughlin Road Same watermain, eastern phase Summer 2026 to spring 2028

Peel project 10-4040 (north section) Mississauga Road, Bovaird Drive to Wanless Drive 2 to 6 lanes to Sandalwood Parkway, 2 to 4 lanes to Wanless, new bridge over the CN rail line, multi-use path Started 2023; Peel’s latest timing is completion in fall 2026
Highway 413 early works project #3 Bovaird Drive, Heritage Road to 500 m west of Mississauga Road Bridge and embankments, widening and raising Bovaird Drive for a future interchange Construction expected to begin spring 2026

Will the Williams Parkway watermain close lanes?

Peel has not published lane closures for phase B. Because the pipe is being tunnelled, the Region says construction will be visible mainly around the shaft and compound sites where crews enter and leave the tunnel. Phase B runs from McLaughlin Road to Mississauga Road, from fall 2026 to spring 2029. Watch Peel’s project page for notices.

East of McLaughlin Road, the City of Brampton is separately rebuilding Williams Parkway with four general purpose lanes, multi-use paths on both sides and a planted centre median, coordinated with Peel’s watermain. The City’s phase 1 runs from McLaughlin Road to Kennedy Road and phase 2 from Kennedy to Dixie Road starting in spring 2027. The City has not published road work on Williams Parkway west of McLaughlin Road.

When will Mississauga Road be widened beside the neighbourhood?

Peel’s 2026 timeline shows the section from Financial Drive to 300 m south of Bovaird Drive West, which runs past Queen Street West and Williams Parkway, going from 4 to 6 lanes. Detailed design runs through 2026, land acquisition to early 2028, utility relocations to early 2029, and construction from early 2029 to the end of 2031.

The environmental assessment for this stretch is final and the project has moved into detailed design and construction. Peel notes that widening the Bovaird Drive intersection itself to 6 lanes will be scheduled later, together with Bovaird Drive and the GTA West (Highway 413) corridor work.

Is the Mississauga Road work north of Bovaird finished?

Nearly. Peel’s project 10-4040 widened Mississauga Road north of Bovaird Drive and built a new bridge carrying the road over the CN rail line, which opened to traffic in January 2026. In July 2026 Peel still listed weekend closures and gave fall 2026 as the expected finish, so check its project page before a weekend trip.

The Mississauga Road and Bovaird intersection had heavy construction for a long time. With the Mississauga Road northbound improvements done, it’s back to normal traffic. The Highway 413 early works on Bovaird are a separate project.

What are the Highway 413 early works on Bovaird Drive?

Ontario’s Highway 413 early works project #3 rebuilds Bovaird Drive from Heritage Road to 500 m west of Mississauga Road, building a bridge and embankments and widening and raising the road ahead of a future interchange. Construction was expected to begin in spring 2026, and the province says drivers should expect some impact, including a temporary detour.

For the route, the interchanges and what the highway could mean for commutes, read Highway 413 and Estates of Credit Ridge. For the new community planned west of Mississauga Road, see Heritage Heights.

How do these projects affect daily trips from the neighbourhood?

Most interior streets are not affected. The changes are on the edges: Williams Parkway to the north, Mississauga Road to the west and Bovaird Drive further north. Trips toward Mount Pleasant GO, the 410 and the plazas on Mississauga Road are the ones most likely to meet work zones, detours or reduced lanes at different times.

  • Williams Parkway (2026 to 2029): work sites around tunnel shafts between McLaughlin Road and Mississauga Road.
  • Bovaird Drive west of Mississauga Road (from 2026): Highway 413 early works with a possible temporary detour.
  • Mississauga Road beside the neighbourhood (2029 to 2031): construction for the 6 lane widening, after design, land and utility work.

Our commuting guide covers the main routes to the highways and GO stations.

Where can I check for closures?

Check the Region of Peel’s construction pages for projects 14-1256 and 10-4040, which post notices and weekend closures, and its construction map. For the 413 work, check the Highway 413 early works page from the province. For City of Brampton roads, use the City’s construction map or contact 311.
