About the Park
Maxwell & Lois Rice Park sits near Estates of Credit Ridge and carries a City of Brampton sign noting it was adopted by The Credit Valley Residents Association, a sign of the kind of resident involvement that’s common in this part of Brampton.
The park itself has a quieter, more open character than a typical playground park. There’s open lawn dotted with young trees, and alongside it a naturalized meadow planted with evergreens that gives part of the space a wilder, less manicured feel. A stormwater pond sits next to the meadow, part of the neighbourhood’s water management and also a bit of a wildlife draw.
A stone-pillared walkway marks the entrance to the park, giving it a more formal arrival point than some of the smaller neighbourhood green spaces nearby.
