Joe Ashton Valley

A City of Brampton green space in Estates of Credit Ridge, mapped in two sections (north and south) around the two Joe Ashton ponds.

About the Valley

Joe Ashton Valley is a City of Brampton green space in Estates of Credit Ridge, classified as other greenspace (city maintained). The City maps it in two sections: Joe Ashton Valley North, dated 2009 at about 3.4 hectares, and Joe Ashton Valley South, dated 2012 at about 9.3 hectares, for a combined area of roughly 12.7 hectares.

Together, the two sections run through the area around Joe Ashton Pond North and Joe Ashton Pond South, forming one of the larger connected green areas in this part of Estates of Credit Ridge.

Pathway Drive is one of the streets where, according to Harpreet Sandhu, Real Estate Broker with Right At Home Realty, homes back onto a green area; Joe Ashton Valley South runs along part of that stretch.

As with the neighbourhood’s other valley and woods spaces, Joe Ashton Valley is left in a more natural, treed state rather than maintained as a playground park.
