New to Estates of Credit Ridge, or just trying to remember who handles what? This is a one-page reference for the services every home uses: garbage and recycling day, who to call for City problems, who bills for water, and the library, community centre and outdoor rink closest to the neighbourhood. Everything comes from the City of Brampton and Region of Peel.

What day is garbage day in Estates of Credit Ridge?

Thursday. Region of Peel open data puts all 54 streets in Estates of Credit Ridge in waste collection zone B, with collection on Thursday. Peel collects organics every week and garbage every other week. Check the Region’s collection calendar for your address to see which Thursdays are garbage weeks and how holidays shift the schedule.

Stream Who collects it How often
Organics (green bin) Region of Peel Every week; participation is mandatory
Garbage Region of Peel Every other week
Recycling (blue bin) Circular Materials, collected by its contractor GFL, since January 1, 2026 Same schedule as before the change

Peel’s free reminder service sends your collection day by text, email or phone call, which is the easiest way to keep track of garbage weeks.

What time do bins have to be out?

Put your bins at the curb by 7 a.m. on collection day and bring them in by 8 p.m. the same day. Peel asks you to place them close to the road without blocking the road or sidewalk, an arm’s length apart, with each bin’s front facing the street and handles toward the house.

  • Keep bin lids closed, and lock the organics bin lid in the vertical position.
  • Leave about 1 metre (3 feet) around each bin, away from parked cars and overhanging trees.
  • In winter, make a flat spot at the end of the driveway about 1 metre back from the curb so plows can pass. Never put bins on or behind a snowbank.

Our winter guide covers sidewalks, windrows and plow timing.

Who do I call about a missed pickup?

It depends on the stream. Garbage and organics are Region of Peel services, so report a missed garbage or green bin pickup to Peel online or by phone. Recycling in Brampton is now run by Circular Materials, so report a missed blue bin to its contractor GFL at 1-877-268-4351 or online. The City’s 311 line does not handle either.

What does 311 handle?

311 is the City of Brampton’s line for City services: roads and snow clearing, sidewalks, parking and by-law complaints, parks and City trees, animal services and recreation. Call 311 inside Brampton or 905-874-2000 from outside, use the 311 Brampton app, go online, or email 311@brampton.ca. Agents answer from 7 a.m. to midnight every day.

Between midnight and 7 a.m., call only for urgent problems, such as an injured or aggressive animal, a fallen tree blocking a road or sidewalk, or a traffic signal that is out. Each request gets a number you can use to track it. 311 offers service in more than 150 languages.

Who sends the water bill?

The Region of Peel, not the City. Water and wastewater in Brampton are Region of Peel services, and your bill is based on your water meter reading. You can sign up for an online account to view and pay bills and set reminders. When you buy or sell, use Peel’s account form to start, stop or change your water service.

Property taxes, by contrast, are billed by the City of Brampton, which collects them for itself, the Region and the school boards. Our property tax guide explains the rates.
